The Harrah’s Foundation’s trustees meet early in each quarter, and proposals are submitted several weeks in advance. The Foundation is not designed to react to last-minute requests.

In order for a request to be considered, the organization must:

• Qualify under an IRS 501(c)(3) not-for-profit determination

• Demonstrate diversity by providing services and volunteer opportunities to
  all without regard to race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, identity
  or disability

• Illustrate strong leadership that will significantly strengthen communities in which Harrah’s operates

• Show sound administrative and financial condition

• Provide opportunities for Harrah’s staff involvement as volunteers and/or
  opportunity to serve on Board of Directors

• Openly support the Harrah’s Foundation in a public forum
